SERIOUSLY

Could I be more slack lately? Or maybe it's just that I'm continuing to be a really super boring person. ugh.
Anyway I checked out the Stella McCartney collection in my local Target and the two pieces I was most interested in weren't even there! Not because they had sold out, they just didn't get them in store. su-uh-uk. I was super disappointed about this I failed to really look at anything else on offer, except of course the super cute black round hat which is easily my favour tie piece anyway.

On the bottom of my priorities (but top of my wants) list this week is a new couch. About two years ago Dave and I found the most amazing lounge set in an op shop and scooped it up (pre moving out it was so good) It is gold and had an amazing wallpaper like pattern, comfortable and probably the best looking set of lounges of all time. Unfortunately the main two seater has failed to stand up to our high demands of sit time and has decided to start sinking. So we are now on the look out for the perfect two-three seater to fit right into our lounge.
Here's what I'm thinking...

None of these are exactly perfectly what we want but they are all pretty cool. It needs to be big comfortable and fit right into our 60s/70s lounge room decor. Apparently (after accessing these photos) I want it to be velvet... and I guess it either needs to match our existing lounge chairs or contrast against them. Blue? Deep purple? hmmmmmm...

STELLA

Stella McCartneys new collection for Target launches tomorrow and it is all so ridiculously lovely. Love the navy, the lace, the silk!!! Seriously considering requesting an early christmas present! But what to choose?
The Gathered Silk Dress in black and the Lace Dress in French Blue are my two favourite pieces. I can't wait to tempt myself some more and try them both on tomorrow. Check out the whole collection here. Hope it's as good as it all looks! I'll let you know tomorrow night. XX

DISGRACE

So it seems that I have been the most boring person on the planet for an entire week. I seriously haven't done anything interesting and especially nothing worth posting about. Well until today when Red House Vintage inducted our newest model into the family, Grace. We had an amazing first photo shoot and she got her total babe on.
Can't wait to share the new collection with everyone, it has some of my very favourite pieces yet! (including these unreal vintage Tommy Hilfiger cut offs) Hoping to have it in store tomorrow night but unfortunately as usual there were many issues with lighting which still need to be edited out. Tomorrow night, fingers and eyes crossed. XXX

QUICK STICKS

You probably don't know this about me but one of my favourite kinds of foods in the world are dips. I don't need to go into the full extent of it but I seriously effing love them. Anyway just now on my way home on the bus, I had a sort of prophecy... Zucchini dip! Does it exist? Can I make? Is it as delicious as it should theoretically be? Yes! Yes! Yes! According to the many recipes that google found for me. Now I cannot wait to make, if not tonight then definitely tomorrow. woohoo!

Potential yummmmmmm!

I think I was so caught up in sharing my lovely night at the beach on Sunday that I failed to mention that Dave and I are now the proud owners of a vintage super 8 camcorder from 1968-69. Tres exciting. And apparently I get to be the lucky one to film the first official video of their band using it... provided we can find out how to get the film processed. If anyone knows anything about Super 8's or Chinon cameras please drop me a line!!

Well I suppose I should get back to orgainising my Gilles St. Markets stock.
Wish me luck on the zucchini dip front! XX
p.s. Any of my friends who are wondering why I am not reply to their msgs, I have no credit as usual but I still love you all.

SUNSET

Last night Dave and I decided to eat sandwiches on the beach and watch the sunset. It was a really beautiful day with no wind so the beach was perfect and still.
I took a few photos of this lovely occasion.

P A R K L I F E

What a surprisingly attractive day, not a bikini in sight! Too bad I let myself go a bit too far to really embrace it all.
I did however manage to stop a very few special people to share their style but mostly just took photos as people walked past in a kind of weird stalker way.
Here's is how my day went...

Photobucket
Photobucket
middle of the day with perfect lips and hair, very impressive!

Photobucket
best jeans in the entire world ever.

Photobucket
friends who I've now realised are almost wearing the same thing :O

Photobucket
This is Uffie, she later laughed at my friend in the medic tent.

Photobucket
what a babe! you can't really tell but her shorts have amazing swirly flowers and she's got a leopard pony hair belt on. not to mention nice hair, great rings and sunnies.

After this I started to have too much fun to take photos it seems... It was night time before I came through.

Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
the pink tree which I was clearly in love with as I ended up with about 25 photos of it.

Photobucket
and this is where I ended up, for anyone in Adelaide it's Sugar.
So out of place, but I'm a good
friend and their waters were second to none.
Then I went home and had a cheese toastie.

So even though the parklife scene is not really my thing and I only wanted to see Missy Elliott (who by the way had one of the weirdest and rudest crowds in history) and one of my friends got so effed up that she had to go home, I had a good day. I got my vodka in without a worry, they were handing out free iced teas all day (a surprisingly good mixer), I found friends I didn't even know were going, managed to get into the VIP area for free, I met my cool next door neighbour who I had never talked to before, pretty sure I introduced myself to Kele and told him he was a real pleasure to meet and the sun was shining. I had a seriously good day and would definitely be down to do it all again.

FYI

As I'm sure you might've noticed I'm not really one for sharing outfit posts... Not to say that I don't LOVE them (they are they main thing that got me into blogs in the first place) but I just never seem to feel up for the challenge.

The weird thing is that I use to be photo mad and back in the day before I got my first digital camera I went through a disposable camera a week. Seriously.

So to start conquering this problem (and my selfish lack of wardrobe sharing), I have decided to bring my camera to parklife to document what my friends, strangers and maybe even what I am wearing; bringing a bit of Adelaide street style to the Red House Vintage blog, should be interesting. My bets are on girls in bikini tops and cut offs (thank you 25 degree day).

Daves got a gig tonight and I'm wearing a pretty dress so perhaps tomorrow I will have some photos to share.
