NEW IN STORE

So I finally got my act together (and laptop working) long enough to get some awesome new vintage items into the Red House store.

Current collection is super cute, with plenty of dresses and many pieces for easy spring styling... and all starting at just .99c !!!!!!!!!!

Quietly loving this dress and wishing it fit me!sigh.

Over the weekend Dave and I picked up another Kombi load of clothes, so for the last two days I have been busily sorting, contemplating and trying to get some sort of order in my "office". It is actually ridiculous the amount of stock I have. Ridiculous and awesome.

I have so many ideas and plans which I'm hoping will start falling into place over the next few weeks with some photographic evidence to share. I've been super slack with my lack of photos and it's even starting to annoy me.
Speaking of photographic evidence, I'm going to Parklife next Monday to bare witness to the greatness of Missy Elliott. Looking forward to what should be a pretty crazy day. Don't know what the weather is going to be like but I am so tempted to rock an a Adidas tracksuit... if I can find one in time. haha.
This weekend can't come soon enough!

Two Suns

Two Suns is my boyfriends band. I'm really looking forward to this show because I also love The Amcats + The Metro always proves to be a chilled place to spend a Saturday night.
I've decided that sometime within the next few months (probably when I get my new camera) I will be doing a full fashion review of the boys because honestly not only does there music make them a pleasure to watch but they are also one of the most sharply dressed bands in Adelaide. Should be good fun!

what a mess!

So I'm officially in love with the Gilles St. Markets, had sooooo much fun and can't wait to do it all again. I found the best part of the day was when people found something they loved and it fit them perfectly, I was generally more excited then them most of the time.

Have had a crazy busy last few weeks and clearly my blog has been suffering because of it. Oh well I'm back to my normal regime now and back to regular posts, promise.

Taking the leap to quit my job and start Red House was a huge step for me and as things slowly come together it really makes me realise how much I appreciate the support and help that I am receiving from my family and friends. If I had nothing else to keep me motivated I know that they would. I can't wait for the day that I can pay it all back. I feel extremely lucky to be able to pursue my dreams and ideas and will only work harder and harder to achieve them.

Having said that though I am sooooooo looking forward to doing the absolute minimum this weekend. Movies, cuddles, wine and that's about it.
Except of course for the...

New collection! Which will be in store Sunday night and is definitely something to look forward too!! So many awesome spring dresses, all starting at a very low and exciting price!!

Till then here is something I found which I really want but is wayyy to expensive and a bit too small for me. So I've decided to try my hand at DIY and recreating it. Wish me luck! and I'll keep you posted on how it goes.
That's about enough i think.
Sorry about this weird mismatch and confusing post, clearly in a strange headspace?
Here's hoping the next post will be wayyyy more interesting and more sense making. XX

B A C K !!!

YOOOOO!
Thank god the show is finally over and my life is almost back to normal!
Unfortunately I have been so busy over the past week and have not had a chance to even think about new listings in the shop let alone blog posts :(
Instead I have been fully focused on my stall at the Gilles St Markets :) this Sunday 19th of September.
Not only am I have a massive Mens Vintage Collection but I am here to announce my limited "Spring Capsule Collection" which is my first capsule collection of vintage clothes and will feature only dresses perfect for spring.

So ALL Adelaide vintage loving babes (of the male and female varieties) BE THERE!! In other news, the last few weeks my brain has been in creative overdrive. I have literally been waking up everyday (way too early) and having to get up to get this brain full of crazy and unreal ideas down. My Red House ideas book is getting fuller by the second with some plans for way out into the future but lots of which are not too far away!

I'm hoping to have a small collection up in store after Gilles either Sunday (so not going to happen) Monday or Tuesday night, so keep your eyes peeled but I'll keep you posted. I'm particularly focused on the bags and shoes photoshoot I will be having over the next week. There are some seriously awesome bags which I am really excited to share.

Also a new website is in the makings... nothing too flashy! Just an convientent access all Red House Vintage main page. Still, it's another step forward :)

Alright now I'm onto finalising my swing tags for both collections this weekend.
So glad to be back!!
More soon,

Gilles St Markets!

Men of Adelaide, at last something for you!!
If you love you some vintage, be there.

I also have an exciting anouncement for the vintage lady babes of Adelaide within the next few days. EXCITING!

In other life news...
Still working at The Show and so so so over it. Only two more days left though, thank goodness.
HUUUGE Saturday night planned to celebrate the end of standing in one spot for 14hours a day ++ my friends Lady Strangelove a playing a massive show with Wolf and Cub at the Ed Castle. I can't wait. I'm sure there will be lots of photographic evidence to share of just how good this night is going to be.

Till then

Show Time

Looks like I'm going to take on my Carnie form over the next two weeks as I'm be working at The Royal Show this year, woohoo! (that was slightly sarcastic)
This unfortunately means no new items in store and next to no blog posts. It is also means I will be working over 100hours within nine days, ridiculous.
On the plus side I am hoping to take some awesome photos on my breaks especailly at night when all the pretty lights are doing there thing. Man I love lights.
Well, I'm off to bed as I have a horrible early start tomorrow.
Wish me luck. XX
